Saala Khadoos Songs Review: This is a first attempt by the most renowned production company Thirukumaran Entertainment and Y Knot Studios to venture in to Bollywood with a bilingual film. Saala Khadoos/ Irudhi Suttru starring Madhavan and a new face Ritika Singh focusses on boxing. The trailer was released in both languages on 2 different dates with two different cuts to draw the audience of that particular language. The best part was both were received extremely well with great anticipation.
This album is composed by the new sensation in Kollywood who is known for his extensive treatment to his composition. Santhosh Narayanan will be venturing in to Bollywood for the first time with “Saala Khadoos”. This new venture will definitely create a new wave in Bollywood with a fresh sound.
This album comprises of 5 tracks with each being different from another.
The title track “Saala Khadoos” is a high octane track fuelled by Vishal Dadlani’s voice penned by Swanand Kirkire. The track has a great tone to it because of Vishal’s voice which sets the right mood for the track and will be a great placement in the movie.
I’m getting quite addicted to this track “Dil Ye Ladaku” for its feel, which has a vague naughtiness laced with quirky romance. Which I feel will gleam in the movie with visuals. Monali Thakur is killing it with this track penned by Swanand Kirkire.
After the title track Vishal takes the centre stage with another track “Jagga Khunnas”, which is also co-sung by Vijaynarain. This track has a good ring to it with little bit of metal involved.
This track is the mellowest one among the entire album, “Dhuaan Hai Dhuaan Zindagi” sung by Kalyani Nair calms you down from the high spirited and the naughty tracks from the album. This track has beautiful lyrics by Swanand Kirkire.
This is one of my personal favourite from the album, as this track comes for a brief moment in the trailer, which caught my ear well. It’s a track which explains the character of the lead Ritika Singh. It has the stupendous Sunidhi Chauhan crooning to Santhosh’s impeccable music timing and Swanand’s lyrics.
Verdict: Saala Khadoos has well timed tracks which gets acquainted with every mood, which makes it a complete album filled with great tracks composed by Santhosh Narayanan and beautiful lyrics by Swanand Kirkire.
