What is it about: It’s a comedy film which revolves around two characters Teji(Diljit Dosanjh) and Jeenal(Sonakshi Sinha) who win the grand prize to showcase their talent at a biggest award function of Bollywood in New York. The film is directed by Chakri Toleti.

Why it’s disappointing: You can’t really ponder the negative aspects of the film, because the trailer was self-explanatory and you knew what you were getting in to. But it does surprise at few points, so just watch it for the sake of it.

What to watch out for: It was literally a reality show or an award show made in to a movie. You get to see the entire Bollywood in the film making cameos and special appearance. There was not much of a room to explore the nuances of a good script. As it was a straight forward film which makes it point and doesn’t deviate.

What makes it little interesting is how the directors mock their own films and actors doing the same. And it was great to see big stars playing out their cameos without any qualms.

Diljit Dosanjh as Teji, was the catch of the film. He can do comedy so effortlessly without any hassle. And with the innocence he does was convincing.

Sonakshi Sinha as Jeenal have seen way better roles. But she does the best she could with the deal given.

Karan Johar as Karan & Arjun did a fantastic job and gave a great variation.

The technical part of the film was neat, nothing much to brag about.

Verdict: Chakri Toleti, did the best he could with the plot given to him. It was chaotic but you can bear the two hours as you get to see a glimpse of entire Bollywood. Not a total bad flick though, quite bearable.
