There was a big confusion in the release schedule of Vishal’s edge of the seat action thriller film Irumbuthirai. The film was postponed for many reasons and the shoot also got extended because of two strikes in 2017 and 2018. The producers have now officially confirmed that the film will release on May 11.
Lyca Productions have bought the worldwide theatrical rights of Irumbuthirai from Vishal’s Vishal Film Factory but the ‘2.0’ producers have sold the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights to Sridharan Mariadhasan’s Krikes Creations.
PS Mithran, the debutant director has written the script of Irumbuthirai for nearly two years. A cybercrime incident happened to one of the close friends of Mithran is the main inspiration for the director to pen the script.
Yuvan Shankar Raja who churned out many hit numbers for Vishal is the music composer of Irumbuthirai. For the first time, Samantha plays the pair of Vishal in the film and actor Arjun is said to be the baddie.
The teaser and the songs of the film were released long back, the producers to planning unveil a brand new theatrical trailer in the first week of May.
