In her upcoming film Nadigaiyar Thilagam, Samantha plays a stammering journalist. The pretty beauty has completed the Tamil and Telugu dubbing of the film. Vijay Devarakonda, the actor who became famous after Arjun Reddy plays Samantha’s pair in the film. Samantha’s character name is Madhuravani who frequently writes about Savithri and her life in Nadigaiyar Thilagam.
Keerthy Suresh plays the legendary actress Savithri, she is said to have also gained a few kilos for her portions in the film. Dulquer Salmaan plays the legendary actor Gemini Ganesan in the film. The love and emotional breakup happened between Savithri and Gemini are said to have portrayed with great authenticity in the film.
Nag Ashwin has directed the film by collecting various reports on Savithri. We will be witnessing Savithri’s rise to stardom, her early days and how she was addicted to alcohol consumption. Nadigaiyar Thilagam and Mahanati will have a simultaneous release in Tamil and Telugu because of the uniform popularity of Savithri. The teaser of the film evoked a positive response on the film and the team is excited to release both Mahanati and Nadigaiyar Thilagam on May 9.
