What is it about: It’s a horror comedy which revolves around three friends, who make their living by conning people in the name of Ghost-Busters. And how they get tangled in to one of their own con forms the crux of the story directed by Bhuvan R Nullan.
Why it’s disappointing: I have no complaints about this film, and please don’t ponder on logic as this one is made to have pure fun.
What to watch out for: Horror and comedy clubbed together is a pretty tough task to handle. But director Bhuvan, handled that with élan. I really adored the way how he brought a simple idea in to a movie and made it not only scary in few parts but also made you laugh hard. And that’s where a filmmaker stands strong.
And he was fortunate with a talented cast, who did a great job in performing their respective roles. Suresh Ravi was good, can’t say he was great but he fit the attire perfectly. But I can’t stop raving about the timing between the three Ramesh Thilak, Darbuka Siva and Ramdoss. These three were great at making you laugh hard and their comic chemistry was impeccable. Then there was Yogi Babu, who comes for a short duration but those few minutes become a laugh riot.
Aishwarya Rajesh is one actress in recent time, who doesn’t have any qualms in accepting roles of different kind, and I respect her for that. She did a commendable job.
The music by Samir was good, and so was the cinematography by Vishnu, which was apt for the film. And Gopinath did a sharp edit keeping the film on tight leash.
Verdict: Bhuvan Nullan, did a very good job in deriving a horror comedy which satisfies both the genre and keeps you entertained throughout. It gives you the eerie feel when required and eases you off with a good laugh. Definitely worth a watch, try to catch this soon.
