Kalpana is married Ghajini cult Asin: Asin Thottumkal, young, elegant, beautiful and ultra talented actress married a businessman Rahul Sharma on last Tuesday in Delhi.
Asin is only 30 years old while she tied her knot with the Micromax founder. The marriage took place in a tight security with only close friends and family members being invited. There was a strict order to keep away the media and cameras.
Among few celebs who were invited in the glorious wedding was our very own Khiladi Kumar “Akshay Kumar”. Akshay was not just invited but also served as the bride’s best man as well. Akshay is speculated as the man behind this lovely union of Asin and Rahul.
The couple got engaged in last September in Devarana hotel with Christian rituals and traditions. Asin as always was sizzling in a white gown. Although she worked in very few films in last few years, but her career is full of glories and successes.
She started her career from a Malayalam film “Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka”. Then she appeared in a Telugu film “Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi” for which she earned her first Telugu Filmfare award for best actress. She won her first Tamil Filmfare best actress award for her role in Ghajini in 2005 for portraying Kalpana. She also appeared in the remake of this film in Hindi and won her debutant award as well.
She shared screen space with some well established Bollywood actors and gave good hits in the form of Ready with Salman Khan, Ghajini with Aamir Khan, Khiladi 786 and Housefull 2 with AKshay Kumar.
A fun fact is that Kalpana married a Cellular company’s boss in Ghajini and in reality as well she married a person from same profession, a mere coincidence obviously. Best wishes to Asin and Rahul Sharma.
