Dhanush is the second Tamil hero after Kamal Haasan to deliver a hit in Hindi film industry. The talented actor is all set to make his Cannes debut for his Indo-French film The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir. Canadian filmmaker Ken Scott is the director of The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir in which Dhanush plays a magician. On May 8, Dhanush will be present at Cannes to market the film along with his co-actors Barkhad Abdi, Erin Moriarty , Bernice Bejo and director Ken Scott.
The French version of The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir will be releasing on May 30 but the producers of the film are having a separate cut for the Indian version. They will come to India to interact with the press in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi to market their film.
In Tamil, Dhanush is presently busy shooting for Maari 2 with Sai Pallavi, director Balaji Mohan, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and others at Chennai. The actor will also release his gangster film Vada Chennai, directed by Vetrimaaran in the month of June.
Dhanush is planning to kick-start his sophomore directorial period film in July and his action thriller film with Karthik Subbaraj will begin in January 2019.
