In his previous film Mersal, Thalapathy Vijay targeted the GST failure and demonetization of BJP Government. The issue handled in Mersal created many issues in Tamil Nadu and actors faced many criticisms from the Central Government. But the controversies helped the film to become a massive success not only in Tamil Nadu but also in Andhra Pradesh.
In Thalapathy 62, the upcoming film of Vijay with director AR Murugadoss, the actor is said to be targeting the local ADMK Government. Pala. Karuppaiah is said to be playing a character which will have shades with the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edapadi K Palaniswamy. Thalapathy 62 also has two more prominent villains, Radha Ravi and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
Keerthy Suresh is actor Vijay’s pair in the untitled project and Yogi Babu is the main comedian. Sun Pictures, a division of Sun TV is producing the music and AR Rahman is composing the songs and original score.
Thalapathy 62 is eyeing to release in Tamil and Telugu on Diwali day.
